AUGUSTA, Ga. - Rev. Timothy Lee Lawson, 61, beloved husband of Sara Jones Lawson, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 3, 2007 at Doctor's Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Bible Church of Augusta, 1005 Druid Park Avenue, Augusta, GA. Services at the church and graveside services will be led by his nephew Dewey Michael Jones, his brother-in-law Dewey Andrew Jonesand from The Church at Greenbrier, Evans, GA, the Reverend Chuck Gordon. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. A native of Greensboro, NC, Rev. Lawson attended Columbia International University and Conservative Baptist Theological Seminary in Denver, CO. He pastured Langford Memorial Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC, Westfield Baptist Church in Westfield, NC, Lake View Baptist Church in Lake View, SC, Onancock Baptist Church in Onancock, VA, Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Augusta, GA, and was presently ministering at Bible Church of Augusta. Survivors include wife Sara Lawson; two sons; Ben Lawson of Nashville, TN, Nathan Lawson and spouse Kim of Savannah, GA, two daughters; Ashley Hill and spouse Matthew of Atlanta, GA, Charlotte Ownby and spouse Jeremy of Evans, his parents; Mickey and Ruby Lawson, two brothers; Terry Lawson and spouse Sherry, Leon Lawson and spouse Brenda, his sister; Jan Lawson, all of Greensboro, NC, and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jason Lawson, Danny Beard, Brad Jones, John Parish, Ray Parish, and Chris Miller.
