BELVEDERE, S.C. - Mr. Willie Butler, 82, of Ware Drive, entered into rest June 4, 2007 at University Hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Mr. Butler, a native of Edgefield County, was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of Young Macedonia Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Bernice Cook Butler; five daughters, Willie Mae (Willie) Bradley, Sandra (Leonard) Samuels, Yvonne Butler, Alice (Charlie) Blanchard, and Ernestine (Paul) Johnson, all of Brooklyn, N.Y.; four sons, Raymond (Mary) Butler, Belvedere, S.C., Bernard Butler, David (Niva) Butler, and Ronald Butler, Brooklyn, N.Y.; three sisters, Mariah Butler and Mamie Lou Martin, Hollis, N.Y., and Min. Pearl (Rev. Charlie) Highsmith, Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Charlie Butler, Augusta, Ga. and Henry (Justine) Butler, Belvedere, S.C.; sisters-in-law, Nellie Butler, North Augusta, S.C. and Sarah Cook, Augusta, Ga.; seventeen grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
