WHO: Knitter, future English teacher in South Korea

HER STORY: Lori can be seen at anytime doing the same thing you would expect an 80-year-old grandmother to be doing: knitting.

Her MySpace.com heading is "Am I really a grandma?"

In chorus, she's knitting. Riding the bus, she's knitting. She could even be found in the gym knitting while she's waiting on the basketball to come her way.

After watching her best friend's mother knit, Lori finally asked if she could be taught.

"My friend's mom started to teach me and it took a really long time because I just couldn't get it. Later on, we realized it was because I'm left handed!"

She's been at for about a year, and has made a small profit knitting scarves, sweaters, afghans and other things for friends and family.

When asked what she'd tell aspiring knitters she giggled:

"It's not easy learning if you're left handed!"
