WILLISTON, S.C. - Melvin Truitt Graves, Jr., 60 was born in Wilkes County, Georgia. He was a son of Barbara Turner Graves Moffitt and the late Melvin Truitt Graves, Sr. Truitt died on Tuesday, May 22nd. Truitt retired from the Savannah River Site, was a member of the Thoroughbred Dart Association and supported the Patriot Guard. He was an entered apprentice Mason at the Blackville Masonic Lodge #63. Survivors include his wife, Karen Webb Graves of the home; sons, Melvin Truitt Graves, III of Lexington, David J. Cook, Jr. of Evans, Ga.; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Cook of Barnwell; sisters, Wanda Britt and Melissa Matthews; seven grandchildren 'referred to as the Angles of the family', Katlyn, Lauren, Taylor, Savannah, Sarah Elizabeth, Zachary and Meagan. A Memorial visitation will be held from three to five p.m. Friday, May 25th at the home, Wisteria, 3333 Vintage Drive, Williston, SC 29853, outside of Elko, SC.
