SUMMERVILLE, S.C. - Graveside services for Mr. Lee Alan Lowery, 46, of Summerville, S.C., who entered into rest May 20, 2007, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Pineview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Jane Grinstead officiating. Mr. Lowery was a native of North Augusta, having made Summerville, S.C. his home for the past 25 years. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and worked as a professional landscaper. Mr. Lowery was very compassionate, taking in numerous homeless teenagers and providing a home until they could become independent. He also loved dogs and was a foster care giver for stray dogs. His constant companion was his dog, Henry. Mr. Lowery was preceded in death by his father, Herbert G. Lowery, Jr. He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta. Survivors include his wife, Robin Ott Lowery, Summerville, S.C.; a daughter, Leia Ann Lowery, Summerville, S.C.; his mother, Joan G. Lowery, North Augusta; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Charles Wilkes, Aiken, S.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, C. Wayne and Phyllis Lowery, Snellville, Ga.; a niece, Olivia Lowery; and a nephew, Ferris Lowery. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
