BLYTHE, Ga. - Mr. Ray D. Bacino, 60, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at his home in Blythe, Georgia. He was the beloved husband of Beverly Barber Bacino. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 25, 2007 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 12:00 noon with Reverend John Lyons officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Bacino was the son of the late Michael Bacino and the late Olive Geraldine Dortch Bacino. He is a recent resident of Georgia and lived for many years in Panama City, Florida. Ray was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Life member of VFW Post 8205, life member of DAV Chapter 17 both of Panama City. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1019 in his hometown of Kankakee, Illinois. Ray was a disabled veteran and gave many hours to his fellow veterans and his church. His sense of humor and many stories will be greatly missed. Survivors include three daughters, Andrea Albert (Donald) of Zephyr Hills, Florida, Valerie Williams of Winchester, Tennessee, and Lori Brumley (Darren) of Fort Sill, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; one brother, John Bacino (Sue) of Blythe, Georgia; and one sister, Peg Sims (John) of Bessemer, Alabama. The family received friends on Thursday, May 24, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road.
