Thunderous applause was given the members of The Augusta Players for their recent performance of South Pacific at the Imperial Theatre. What a privilege to be part of a sold-out audience that enjoyed the amazing talents of so many actors right here in our midst.

For three hours, the cast performed the unforgettable music of Rodgers and Hammerstein - and who cannot swoon to the lyrics of Some Enchanted Evening? The comedians romped across the entire stage with laughter, which spilled over to the audience with cheering and standing ovations.

Plan to go to the next performance of this dedicated group. It is hard but rewarding work for them, and they are a treasure that should be supported by many in our community.

In Augusta, we had not had rain for months, but the evening was worth every minute to come home totally drenched!
