"I wanted a very modern side of things. Our last home was dark and Old English-like," Mrs. Langley said. "I wanted to use a lot of color to make the home bright and cheerful."
Throughout the home are pieces of artwork, many created by friends and a few by Mrs. Langley. She also made use of old holiday decorations such as silver balls to create an updated atmosphere.
"I used them for Christmas decorations, but then I realized they didn't look holidaylike at all, so I just left them," she said.
Circles and stripes are a recurring theme in the dcor.
"I love circles and stripes. They modernize a home," Mrs. Langley said. "It makes a difference."
The design of the house in Grovetown was a perfect fit for the Langleys.
"I enjoy the openness, especially in the kitchen," she said. "It flows, and that's important to me,
"It was the big selling point in our decision."
