WARRENTON, Ga. - Mr. Herman Gay, 68, beloved husband of Mrs. Henrietta Gay, of Ranger Road, died Monday, May 07, 2007 in Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2007 in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. John McMillian, Dr. Phil Bray, and Rev. Jim Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Freddie Gay, Kenneth Reeves, Howard Harrison, Mike Neal, David Crewsonberry, John Booth, Buck Ansley & Larry Jones. Honorary Pallbearers, Wayne Chalker & Herman's Sunday School Class. A native of McDuffie County, Mr. Gay was a son of the late Horace & Nellie Rogers Gay. He was a Carpenter and a member of Fort Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Gay was preceded in death by a son, John Ray Gay; and is survived by his wife, Henrietta Gay, of Warrenton; children, Maryann (L.G.) Phillips of Camack, Wanda (Danny) Richardson of Thomson, and Kimberly (Marc) Williferd, of Dearing, and Freddie (Kimberly) Gay of Warrenton; sister, Elizabeth Young of Thomson; 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The Gay family will be at the residence, 1868 Ranger Road in Warrenton, and will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday May 9, 2007 at the funeral home.
