AUGUSTA, GA. - Entered into rest at Select Specialty Hospital of Augusta Saturday, May 5, 2007, Mrs. Rubye M. Wooden of First Ave. Mrs. Wooden was native of Augusta and a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Rev. Marvin McRae, Pastor. Mrs. Wooden was Secretary at People's Funeral Home until 2000. In 2000, she became Secretary of Dent's Undertaking Establishment until her death. She was a member of Ft. Valley Alumni Assoc., Lucy Laney Class of '56, and a member of Zeta Beta Sorority, Inc. Survivors include her son, Timothy Wooden; brother, Charles Hargrove; granddaughter, Avis Wooden; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. from Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Rev. Marvin McRae officiating. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown, Ga. Friends may call at the residence or the funeral home. The Historic Dent's Undertaking Establishment serving the CSRA since the 1800's.
