BARNWELL, S.C. - Gladys Mayers Long, 83, widow of Willie Samuel Long, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the Aiken Regional Medical Center, Aiken. Mrs. Long was born in Mullins, S.C. She was a daughter of the late Mary Drew and Enoch Cleveland Mayers, Sr. She was a member of Harmony Hope Chapter #229 Order of The Eastern Star and Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Blalock officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memory Gardens on Reynolds Rd. with Easter Star Rites. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at Mole Funeral Home. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Willie Marion and Patricia Long of Mobile, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Charles Lott of Barnwell; sister, Catherine Mayers Morris of Columbia, S.C.; grandchildren, Wendy L. Rowe, Penny L. Thomas and W.C. (Bubba) Long of Mobile, Christ Lott of Lexington, S.C. and Clint Lott of Barnwell; great-grandchildren, Gabryelle Lott, Christopher Lott, Will Lott, Justin Lott, Jasper Lott, Jeb Lott, T.J. Long, Brooke Lynn Long, Keith Long, Dustin Rowe and Dillon Thomas. She was predeceased by a brother, Enoch Cleveland (Cleve) Mayers, Jr., sisters, Annie Bray, Edith Rogers, Inez Gass and Betty Rogers. Mole Funeral Home, 803-259-3166.
