WILLISTON, S.C. - Funeral Services for Paul J. McAfee, 76 will be held two p.m. Thursday, April 12th at the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Williston Cemetery with Military Rites accorded. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. McAfee died on Monday, April 2nd. Born in Murphy, NC he was a son of the late William Edward and Elzie Beavers McAfee. He served in the US Army Corps of Engineers as a corporal during the Korean Conflict his tour of duty was in France. He retired in 1991 as a reactor operator having worked at SRP for E.I. DuPont. He was a member of Winfield Heights Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World. He formerly owned and operated McAfee's Recreation Center in New Ellenton and Barnwell. He enjoyed singing, playing the guitar and was a master at billiards. Survivors include his son, Gary Paul McAfee and his ex-wife Joanne McAfee, Gary's mother both of Williston; a sister in law Agatha McAfee of Murphy, NC; nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Frankie and husband (Clarence) Palmer; brothers, Waldon Junior McAfee and Edward and wife (Nellie) McAfee of Murphy, NC.
