AIKEN, S.C. - Mrs. Lillie Upson, 70, of Palm Dr., entered into rest April 10, 2007. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and served on the Usher Ministry. Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Bell and Patricia (Vernal) Hoyte, both of Aiken; seven daughters, Elester (Renee) Upson, Jr., Queens, N.Y., Michael (Beverly) Upson, Sr., Columbia, S.C., Kevin Upson, Canton, Ga., Phillip Upson, Sr., Randy (Angel) Upson, Sr., both of Aiken, Norman Upson, Atlanta and Gregory Upson, Duluth, Ga.; three sisters, Lucille Gordon, Aiken, Harriet Gordon, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and Ada Kearse, Augusta; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
