EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mr. R. L. Griffin, 90, of 11 Ellis Street, entered into rest March 24, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2007 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Edward Lloyd officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Griffin, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in World War II. He was a retired Brick Mason. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Rosa B. Griffin of the home; three daughters, Earline Smiley, Port St. John, Fla., Richard (Willie) Parks, and Dianne (Arthur) Parks, Aiken, S.C.; two sons, Donald (Betty) Griffin, Edgefield, S.C., and Rev. Michael (Zenobia) Griffin, Oveida, Fla.; one sister, Elease Patten, Melbourne, Fla.; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-six great- grandchildren, two great-great- grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
