AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Charles Robert "Bobby" Jarrett, 58, beloved husband of Ann Shumard Jarrett, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 1:00 PM at St. Alban's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jim Shumard officiating. Mr. Jarrett, an Augusta native, attended Augusta Technical College and Augusta State University.. He proudly served four years in Vietnam as a Sergeant in the Air Force. He was a salesman by trade, but will be remembered as a professional father, amateur comedian, musician, and entrepreneur. Bobby and his brother, Jerry, wrote and performed songs and comedic skits in and around Augusta. In addition to his wife, Ann Jarrett, he is survived by his three sons, John Jarrett, James Jarrett and wife, Jennifer, and Jacob Jarrett and wife, Jessica, his grandchildren, Taylin, Jayla, and Kaylie, and his "adopted" daughter, Marla Telfair. He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Sizemore Zale, his brothers, Larry Jarrett, Rusty Jarrett, and Joe Zale, and a sister, Joanne Jarrett Paulos. . Bobby was a favorite uncle of many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He also had numerous great nieces and great nephews and six godchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry and Chris, and by his father, Larisey Jarrett. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Bethesda Boys Home, PO Box 13039, Savannah, Georgia, 31419.
