At least this year, golf fans wanting to catch some of the action will have another choice from TV and the Internet: wireless devices.

AT&T Inc., through an agreement with Augusta National Golf Club, will offer customers during Masters Week exclusive player interviews, tournament previews, daily highlights and other content through its broadband and wireless services.

The content - which doesn't include live tournament coverage - will be available on mobile phones, Blackberrys, computers and other wireless devices for 60 days after the tournament at no extra charge to customers.

"The Masters is such a well-known tournament," said company spokeswoman Dawn Benton. "It's just extending to their fans the ability to access all the great things about the Masters."

She said customers using wireless devices should check to make sure they have the right data plan to access the content.

AT&T is a broadcast sponsor of the Masters Tournament television broadcast.

Other companies, including The Augusta Chronicle's online division, offer content such as news alerts, trivia questions and podcasts via wireless devices.
