Three Tech (11-10, 3-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) errors enabled the Eagles (6-8-1, 4-2) to take a 2-0 lead in the third inning and Boston College stretched that to 4-0 in the sixth when Sanchez and Peter Frates each hit solo home runs.
Terry Doyle (2-0) held Tech to two runs on six hits while striking out five in his first start of the season. Michael Belfiore went the final three innings for his first save, giving up two hits.
BC got a triple from John Ayers in the ninth and he scored on a fielder's choice by Jared McGuire. The Eagles scored four runs off reliever Brad Rulon in the seventh.
Ryan Turner (1-3) gave up two unearned runs on three hits through the first five innings before the Sanchez and Frates homers.
