MILLEN, Ga. - Mrs. Esther Lee Reeves, age 77, 1000 Dukes Pond Drive, died at home following a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease on March 1, 2007. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert A. Reeves, Sr., her three children, Millie Reeves, Robert A. Reeves, Jr., and Grady Lee Reeves, and five grandchildren, Robert A. (Corey) Reeves, III, Cara Allyssa Reeves, Margaret Elizabeth Reeves, Mary Kate Reeves and Madeline Lee Reeves. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Grady Lee, M. D. and Queen Esther (Tommie) Lee. Mrs. Reeves was a life long resident of Millen and Jenkins County. She was graduated from Millen High School in 1946, attended Georgia Teachers College in Statesboro for one year, and was graduated from Crawford W. Long Nursing School in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1950, as a Registered Nurse. She worked as a nurse in the Lee Clinic in Millen until her father's death in 1955, at which time she became a full-time homemaker. She was a member of the Millen United Methodist Church, where she had served as a Sunday School teacher. She was a former Girl Scout Troop Leader. She was an avid member of both the Millen and Augusta Rose Societies. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o'clock P. M. on Sunday, March 4, 2007 at the Millen United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home in Millen on Saturday, March 3, 2007, between the hours of 6 o'clock P. M. and 8 o'clock P. M.
