AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. James Jerry Crawford Sr., beloved husband of the late Nettie Lou Carter Crawford, entered into rest Thursday, March 1, 2007. Mr. Crawford retired as a cashier for Railway Express. He was a member of Fleming Baptist Church. He was a member of the Brothers Sunday School class as well as the Young At Heart program. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 4, 2007 at Fleming Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Tracy Pressley and Reverend Winston Collins officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. He will lie in state one hour prior to services. Pallbearers will be Dave Hopkins, L.R. Newman, Bob Moore, John McCleod, Earl Williams and Jack Waller. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Kathy Crawford, North Augusta, S.C.; daughter, Joan C. Seay, Augusta; grandchildren, Kelly Litchfield, North Augusta, S.C.; Jay Crawford, Cumming, GA; Eric Crawford, Blythewood, S.C.; Hal Hitchcock, Martinez, GA; and BridgetSeay, North Augusta, S.C. ;16 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fleming Baptist Church Building Fund, 3027 Peach Orchid Road, Augusta, Georgia 30906.
