Richmond County police

Richmond County police department ruins it for everybody downtown. All they do is sit around waiting to arrest somebody for DUI. Thats all that they have ever done. North Augusta is just as bad. You gotta let people party some down there

A big RAVE for the Augusta

A big RAVE for the Augusta and North Augusta Police for keeping drunks off our streets. Drunk drivers are murderers in waiting.

If it weren't for Richmond

If it weren't for Richmond County police, I wouldn't go near downtown on a First Friday. I'm pretty sure they are there for our safety and not to discourage having a good time. If you've ever been downtown after dark on a First Friday, your safety is a major concern!

Deathmetal, partying is not

Deathmetal, partying is not the problem. Safety from undesirables and destruction from these misfits is the problem.

I would like to acknowledge

I would like to acknowledge Steven Schretzmann for his outstanding work with the Augusta Chronicle. I especially enjoyed his First Friday coverage of the musical entertainment; particularly, the Band With No Name. Great job Steven!

Christmas Eve rains to dry up

If Wednesday seemed particularly wet and dreary, you would be right. The day broke the record for the wettest Christmas Eve that Augusta has ever had.
