AUGUSTA, Ga. - Miss Mary Ellen Corley, 79 of 550 Richmond Hill Road West, Augusta, Georgia, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at her residence. Miss Corley resided at 141 Horry Street, Aiken, South Carolina most of her life before moving to Augusta four years ago. She was a member of the Southgate Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia. Family members that preceded her death are her grandson, Sterling L. Dent; two sisters, Myra Williams and Essie Wilson; seven brothers, Raymond Corley, Aaron Corley, Johnny Corley, Jessie Corley, Harry Corley, Calvin Corley, and August Corley; her parents, James and Alice Corley. Survivors include her daughter, Rosa White, Augusta, Ga.; one sister, Martha Green, Hempstead, N.Y.; one brother, John D. Corley, Jamaica, N.Y.; one granddaughter, Crystal (Winston) Wang, Augusta, Ga.; a devoted nephew, Namon (Elease) Corley, Aiken, S.C.; and many additional devoted nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Southgate Baptist Church, Augusta, Georgia. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the residence or at the funeral home beginning at 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and at the church on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home, Aiken, S.C.
