AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ms. Linda C. Porch, age 59, entered into rest on Thursday evening, February 22, 2007 at the Medical College of Georgia. Born in Portsmouth, VA to Zane and Bobbie Dean Ward, she had been a resident of the Augusta area for most of her lifetime. Linda was a member of Faith Memorial Church and has most recently worked at the Cake Factory. Her family fondly remembers her love of fishing, camping, playing Yahtzee, Scrabble and crocheting. She is preceded in death by: her parents, and one sister, Brenda J. "Jackie" Herrington. She is survived by: her children, Angie Rawlins and her husband, Willie, Appling, GA, Gary Crowley and his wife Janet, Camp LeJeune, NC, Michelle Herring, Evans, GA, Leslie Blair, Washington, GA; one brother, Skip Ward and his wife, Jane, Harlem, GA; one sister, Bobbie Zane McCorkle and her husband, Billy, Leah, GA; 12 grandchildren, 1 great grand daughter and 1 great grandson, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm, on Monday, February 26, 2007 at the graveside in Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Pastor Allan Olive officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Sunday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez.
