AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Myrtle C. Purvis, 86, widow of Maj. T.O. (Bo) Purvis, entered into rest on Sunday, February 18, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 3:00 PM at Platt's Crawford Avenue Chapel. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery. Mrs. Purvis was a homemaker and an avid camper. She and her husband were members of the Good Sam's Camping Club of Augusta, and were members of Cokesbury United Methodist Church. She is survived by a brother, Odell Baker, a son, Bruce Purvis, a daughter, Vicky Waters, and two grandchildren, Megan Christine Waters and Meredith Caroline Waters. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, February 20, 2007 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Platt's Funeral Home, 721 Crawford Avenue.
