AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Nettie Ada James Cliatt, 79, wife of the late Lawrence Love Cliatt entered into rest Friday, February 16, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2007 at 2:30 P.M. in the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Bucky Halford officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Trent Marks, Paul Williams, Josh Riggs, II, Heath Cliatt, Jerry Arrington, Jr., Dr. Terry Arrington, Lance Arrington and Jimmy Neville, Jr. Mrs. Cliatt was predeceased by her brothers Hubert and Lewis 'Bo' James. Survivors include her children, Canoy Marks (Jerry) of Hephzibah and Kim Arrington (Jerry) of Waynesboro; son, Larry Cliatt (Terri) of Hephzibah, step-son, Larry Luther (Bev) of Dillsburg, PA; brothers, John James (Eva Bell) of Warrenton, R.P. 'Tut' James (Cheryl) of Hephzibah, Clarence James (Vel) of Jesup and Mac James (Frances) of Hephzibah; sisters, Barbara Creed of Belvedere, SC, Betty Shirey (J.B.) of Hephzibah and JoAnn Rountree of Hephzibah; grandchildren, Brian Cliatt and Heath Cliatt (Bobbi) all of Augusta, Jerry Arrington of Suwanee, Dr. Terry Arrington (Christy) of Chattanooga, TN, April Riggs (Josh) and Schylea Williams (Paul) all of Waynesboro, Trent Marks of Hephzibah, Alison and Courtney Cliatt both of Hephzibah and Lance Arrington of Waynesboro; great-grandchildren, Addison Riggs, Brett Arrington, Brandon and Grace Cliatt; step-grandchildren, Stacy, Stephanie and Sherrie and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cliatt was born in Augusta to the late Robert J. and Hazel Mulligan James. She retired after 23 years with the Richmond County Board of Education as a Bus Driver. She was a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church and the Eastern Star Richmond Chapter # 463. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
