AUGUSTA, Ga. - Minnie L. Williams Griffin was born on January 23, 1955 in York, S.C. to William Parks, Jr. and the late Bertha Williams. She entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 29, 2007. Ms. Williams was preceded in death by her son, Tony Griffin, brother, William H. Williams and sister, Mary W. Boyd. Ms. Minnie L. Williams Griffin was a resident of Augusta since 1973. She was a loyal employee of Anderson Package Shop (Terry's) for 23 years. She leaves to cherish fond memories her father, William Parks, Jr. of York, S.C.; three daughters, Pamela (Sean) Shubert, Cassandra (John Henry) Wilfork and Donjinia Williams, all of Augusta; three sisters, Gaither Williams, Willie Bell (Larry) Howell, Julia (Freddie) Smith, all of York; four brothers, Earl Williams, Lawrence (Bernice) Williams, William Parks III, all of York and John (Tyhita) Parls of Clarksville, Tenn.; two aunts, Mae Henry Williams and Maggie Robertson, all of York; one uncle, Henry Parks of York; two goddaughters, Pamela Hayes and Sharnearia Mims, all of Augusta; one godson, Dennis Murray of Sacramento, Ga.; ten grandchildren, Latoya Walker, Robert Walker, Romesha Walker, Marcus Young, Donnece Walker, Ashley Young, Demetrius Walker, Charlecia Williams, Cassie Wilfork and Marchell Woods, all of Augusta; a very dear friend, Ronnie Nipper of Augusta and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday February 4, 2007, at 1PM at Hudson Memorial C.M.E. Methodist Church with Reverend Connie Allen officiating. Interment will be in Walker Memorial Park.
