National Signing Day comes every February and is the day a high school football player can sign a binding letter-of-intent with the college of his choice. The Augusta metro area has 30 college prospects that stand out from the pack of roughly 750 area players looking to continue their careers by landing a football scholarship that will place them on a college campus next fall. In examining how the area scene shapes up as Feb. 7 approaches, we look at a combination of things that make up a potential college football player, including academics and the strength of schools interested in each player.
