WALLAND, Tenn. - William Ray Irwin, age 86 of Walland, Tenn., passed away Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Baptist Hospital West, Knoxville. He was a member of Citico Baptist Church in Monroe County. He was preceded in death by daughter, Margaret Ann Lefler; parents, William B. and Carrie Vaden Irwin; brother, J.B. Irwin; sisters, Ruth Stemen and Ella Mae Stoll. Survivors are his wife, Vivian Irwin; son, Gordon Irwin of Dallas, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Rod Taylor of Tyler, Texas; stepchildren, Angela Thiel of Macon, Ga., Benny Shirey of Augusta, Ga., Ginger Barefoot of Augusta, Ga.; grandchildren, Jenna Hardin, Stephanie Irwin, Elizabeth Tinley, Trey Thiel, Christy Thiel, Jennifer Shirey, Tessa Barefoot, Meranda Barefoot; four great- grandchildren; sister, Irene Davis of Maryville, Tenn.; brother, Lewis Irwin of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Alvin Patton and Rev. J.W. Smith officiating. Family and friends will meet at Citico Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. for interment service.
