AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Clarabelle Scales entered into rest on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at The Place at Deans Bridge. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Greater Young Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Andre Saunders and Rev. William B. Blount officiating. Mrs. Scales, a native of New Bern, N.C., lived in New York for forty years before moving to Augusta eight years ago. Survivors are a son, James Saunders, Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Clara Saunders, Flushing, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
