AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Willie Paul McZilkey, Sr., age 76, of Augusta, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, January 13, 2007, at University Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Augusta, Mr. McZilkey had worked for many years in the Sheet Metal Industry; contributing to the construction of many of our local hospitals. He had retired from Dupont Industries at SRS. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union No. 399, Charleston, SC. An avid fisherman and Atlanta Braves fan; he was a member of Marks Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; Connie and Lillie Pearl McZilkey. A loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, he is survived by: His wife of 55 years, Mary Anne McZilkey, Augusta, GA; Their son, Willie Paul "Bill" McZilkey, Jr. and his wife, Ronda, Grovetown, GA; Their daughters, Tyra Anne Bouye and her husband, Charlie, Grovetown, GA, Paula McZilkey Bland, Augusta, GA; His brothers, Horace Edward McZilkey and his wife, Virginia, Hephzibah, GA, Leonard McZilkey and his wife, Dorothy, Evans, GA, Tony McZilkey and his wife, Laverne, Belvedere, SC; His sisters, Balzora Winter and her husband Richard, Hephzibah, GA, Sheila Enfinger and her husband, Rev. Paul Enfinger, Walnut Hill, FL, Faye Matthews and her husband Bobby, Lawrenceville, GA; Grandchildren, Richard L. Mutispaugh, III, Christy Anne and Brian Presgrove, Ryan Paul McZilkey, Andrew McZilkey, Taylor Lee Bridges; Four great grandchildren, And a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 from Marks Baptist Church, 1405 Marks Church Road, Augusta, with Reverend Hal Hodgens and Reverend Paul Enfinger , officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown. Pallbearers will be: Ricky Winter, Eddie McZilkey, Greg Matthews and Jimmy, Tom and Paul Lamb. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Monday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta.
