MEETINGS: The chapter meets bimonthly. The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at North Augusta Community Center, 495 Brookside Ave. At the meeting, Dr. Robert Fulton will talk about the search for the ivory-billed woodpecker.
MEMBERSHIP: People can join the chapter through the National Audubon Society. First-time membership is $20, which includes a gift. Members also receive a chapter newsletter and a subscription to Audubon Magazine. The chapter has about 600 members.
MISSION: To educate the public about birds, other wildlife and their habitat, and to provide opportunities for our community to appreciate the natural world.
