Estil Jesse Carothers (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Estil Jesse Carothers , 63, of Augusta, went home to be with Jesus Friday, December 22, 2006 at University Hospital. Mr. Carothers was a native of Pineville, West Virginia and had lived in Augusta for the past 33 years. He was owner and operator of Estil's Foreign Car Service and a member of Berean Baptist Church. Family members include his wife Freeda Carothers of Augusta, children Edward Carothers and wife Scarlett of Harlem, Ga., Sherry Burrow and husband David of Hephzibah, Ga., Michael Carothers and wife Christy of Augusta, grandchildren Amanda and Logan Carothers of Harlem, Ga., Jennifer Dupriest of Augusta, Grace, Jessica, and Ethan Burrow of Hephzibah, sisters Helen Watson and husband Steve of Pensacola, Fl., Charlotte Carothers of Ocala, Fl., Dorothy Wyatt of Arlington, Va., brothers Orville Carothers and wife Mary of Gaithensburg, Md., Tommy Carothers and wife Louise of Pineville, W.Va., and Bob Carothers and wife Gladys ofPineville, W.Va. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Poteet Funeral Homes South Chapel with Pastor Charlie Pennington and Pastor Edward Carothers officiating. Interment will be at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Logan Carothers, Michael Carothers, Anthony Meadows, Arthur Key, Stewart Waller, and Todd Kitchens The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Poteet Funeral Homes South, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta.
