Pat Hartzog (HILDA, S.C.)



HILDA, S.C. - Claude Patrick (Pat) Hartzog, Sr., 63, died Friday at the Barnwell County Hospital. Mr. Hartzog was born in Barnwell Co. and was the son of Dorothy Lyons Hartzog and the late George Wesley Hartzog. He was a retired employee of the SC Forestry Commission and Hartzog Farms. He was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, Woodmen of the World and Hilda Masonic Lodge. He was also a volunteer fireman with the Hilda Volunteer Fire Department. He also had served in the SC National Guard, Co.B.122nd Combat Engineers, Barnwell, S.C. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ted Still and Rev. Allen Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Untied Methodist Church Cemetery. Survivors include: his wife, Janice Carroll Hartzog of Hilda; his mother, Dorothy Lyons Hartzog of Hilda; son, Claude Patrick (Allison) Hartzog, Jr. of Hilda; daughters, Patty (Scotty) Cheek of Hilda, Lynn (Rob) Whittle of Denmark and Debra Hartzog (Kevin) Simmons of Hilda; brothers, David (Jean) Hartzog of Hilda and Wesley Hartzog of Hilda; sisters, Sandra Fogle of Hilda and Judy (Skip) Wilson of Chapin and grandchildren, Gary Cheek, Derrick Cheek, Samantha Whittle, Sydney Whittle, Samantha Simmons and Danielle Simmons.
