LAWRENCE, Kan. - Mario Chalmers and Brandon Rush triggered a 24-4 run in the first half and No. 11 Kansas raced past Boston College 84-66 Saturday despite an outstanding effort by the Eagles' Sean Williams.

The 6-foot-10 Williams, the NCAA leader in blocked shots, had 19 points and 15 rebounds - both career highs - to go with seven blocks.

Chalmers had 22 points for Kansas (10-2) .

Jared Dudley had 14 points and eight rebounds for Boston College (7-3).

CINCINNATI 80, N.C. STATE 71

In Cincinnati, Deonta Vaughn scored 25 points and sparked a pair of second-half runs that rallied the Bearcats.

N.C. State (7-4) had a season-high 32 turnovers.

Ben McAuley led N.C. State with 22 points.

LOUISVILLE 82, MIAMI 59

In Louisville, Ky., Jerry Smith scored 22 points to go with a career-high 12 rebounds to lead the Cardinals (7-4).

Dwayne Collins led Miami (7-6) with 17 points and eight rebounds.

FLORIDA STATE 76, SAINT PETER'S 63

In Tallahassee, Fla., Al Thornton scored 14 points and Florida State overcame a slow start for its seventh consecutive victory.

Saint Peter's (3-8) dominated the interior, outrebounding the Seminoles 42-25, but it struggled to deal with Florida State's depth. The Seminoles reserves outscored Saint Peter's bench 29-13.

MARYLAND 66, AMERICAN 54

In College Park, Md., D.J. Strawberry scored 19 points and fueled a second-half run that sparked Maryland (11-2).

Playing for the first time in 10 days, Maryland overcame a sluggish start behind Strawberry, who went 3-for-6 from 3-point range.

VIRGINIA TECH 94, CAMPBELL 70

In Blacksburg, Va., Jamon Gordon had 22 points and eight rebounds as Virginia Tech stretched its winning streak to five games.

Zabian Dowdell added 21 points for the Hokies (9-3). Deron Washington had 15.
