Ethel Williams Cato (TRENTON, S.C.)

TRENTON, S.C. - Entered into rest at her residence Tuesday, December 19, 2006, Mrs. Ethel Williams Cato of Trenton, S.C., wife of the late Robert Lee Cato and daughter of the late Everette Williams and the late Sarah Clark. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Holsenback and her husband Alvin Holsenback and Judy Rhoades and her husband Joe Rhoades; four grandchildren, Bobby Holsenback, Julie H. Baynham, Debra R. Priester, and Jodi R. Hartman; and six great-grandchildren, Kristy Holsenback, Robby Holsenback, Jon Holsenback, Brittany Baynham, Jacob Baynham, and Summer Priester. She was born in Graniteville, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was a member of Kedron Baptist Church in Aiken and up to her failing health, was a very active member of her Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and after God, she always put her family first and foremost in her life. She never met a stranger and was a friend to all. She was a compassionate and very generous person. She loved flowers and was an avid gardener. Now, God has picked a very special flower for his garden in Heaven. The funeral service will be conduced Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Vaughn officiating. The interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Cemetery in Aiken. The pallbearers will be Monty Murrell, Thomas Lamb, Kenny Bledsoe, Eddie Cook, Rich Carty, and Ellis Cook. The family will receive friends at Napier Funeral Home Friday night, December 22, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to North Aiken Church of God, P.O. Box 951, Aiken, S.C. 29802.
