Katharine Lobrano (COVINGTON, Ga.)



COVINGTON, Ga. - Mrs. Katharine "Pat" Lobrano, 83 of Covington, formerly of Augusta, Ga., died Saturday, December 16, 2006. Mrs. Lobrano was born in Savannah Georgia on May 14, 1923 to the late Wade and Mary Edwards Heins. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Covington and active in her church circle. Mrs. Lobrano was also a member of the Satsuki Garden Club, a former member of the Covington Woman's Club and enjoyed playing bridge. She was predeceased by her husband, Retired Major Joe Lobrano, Sr. and her grandson, Craig Lobrano. Mrs. Lobrano is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Joe and Anita Lobrano, Jr. of Richmond, Virginia and Stephen Lobrano of Augusta; daughters and sons-in-law, Diana Lobrano and William Curtis of Abbeville, S.C., Patty and Ken Nowell, Prince George County, Virginia, Becky and David Strickland, Covington, Ga.; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Charles Wieters, Athens, Ga.; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services for Mrs. Lobrano were held at 4 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church of Covington with the Reverend Billy Wade officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Ga. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2006 at the funeral home.
