James Gordon (WARRENVILLE, S.C.)

WARRENVILLE, S.C. - Entered into rest Monday, morning, December 18, 2006 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Aiken, SC, Mr. James Grady "Booger" Gordon, 66, beloved husband of forty-one years to Mrs. Zena Beasley Gordon and son of the late Theodore and Lula Pettis Gordon. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County he retired from Woodhead Division after forty- three years of service and was currently employed by Buck's Pizza. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church Burnettown, SC. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Phillip Grady Gordon, (Marjorie) Hawaii, and Judith Tice, (Lewis) Junction City, KS; sisters, Frankie Williams, Batesburg, SC, Jessie Galloway, Aiken, SC, and Betty Watkins, Graniteville, SC; and grandchildren, Desiree Gordon, Kimberly Tice, Annie Gordon, and Sara Tice. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, afternoon, December 20, 2006 at 1 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC,with Rev. Carl Hayes and Rev. Cory Glover officiating. Interment will follow in Chime Bell Baptist Church Cemetery, Aiken, SC. The family has asked that memorials in memory of Mr. Gordon be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane Columbia, SC 29210 ( www.cancer.org) Friends may call at the home 174 Huber Clay Rd., Warrenville, SC.
