Northside-Warner Robins wins title



NORTHSIDE-WARNER ROBINS 30, MARIST 6

WARNER ROBINS, GA. - Tijuan Green ran for 240 yards and two touchdowns to lead Northside-Warner Robins to a 30-6 victory over Marist in the class AAAA State Championship on Friday night.

The Eagles (15-0), who returned to the title game after losing to Statesboro 13-10 last year, were crowned champions for the first time in school history.

Northside-Warner Robins benefited from Marist kicker Colin Gallagher's missed 36-yard field goal, which could've tied the game before halftime.

The Eagles then took a 16-6 lead when Green scored on a 43-yard run in the third quarter.

The War Eagles (13-2) went three-and-out on their possession. then Northside scored another touchdown four plays later on a 25-yard touchdown pass from Marques Ivory to Green, who finished with 25 carries.
