AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on Monday, November 20, 2006, James Hardy "Jamie" King, Jr., 22, the son of James Hardy King, Sr. and Beverly Edwards King. Mr. King attended Lakeside High School and was a student at Augusta Technical College and was employed by Steve and Barry's Sporting Goods. He was a native of Macon, Ga. and had lived in Augusta for the past 20 years. He loved body building and spending time at the lake. He attended St. Mark United Methodist Church. Additional survivors include his grandfather, Rev. C.W. Edwards, Jr.; grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth King; aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Holbrook; uncle, Mr. Jack Edwards and friend Kay Kelly; uncle, Bill King; uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edwards; aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Edwards; cousins, Chris Edwards, Paige Holbrook, Marlise Edwards, Rusty Holbrook, Lucy Edwards, Sam Edwards, Aaron Edwards and Michael Kelly. Mr. King was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jackie Edwards and grandfather, Mr. Billy King. Funeral services will be conducted today, November 22, 2006, 3:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Bob Gillespie officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
