AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Earl M. Wilson, 80, husband of Mrs. Polly Pate Wilson of Washington Road, entered into rest Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at Heartland Hospice. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2006 with Dr. C. Don Manning officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Robert Wilson, Jason Peters, Roger Belger, Ronnie Mauldin, Mark Milligan, and Charlie Wright. Other survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Anita Wilson of Roswell, Ga.; daughter, Lydia Belger of Augusta; sisters and brother-in-law, Lois Avery of Jackson, S.C., Nell Wright of Jackson, S.C. and Pat and Ron Lanier of Appling, Ga.; grandson and his wife, Jason and Niki Peters and grandson, Roger Belger, all of Augusta, Ga. Mr. Wilson, the son of the late Wylie B. Wilson and Ethel DeVaney Rummage, was a native of Fitzgerald, Ga. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II. Mr. Wilson and was a member of First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Christian Church Youth Fund, 629 Greene Street, Augusta, Ga. 30901.
