Police seek suspect in Aiken ATM theft
Aiken police are trying to identify a man who allegedly stole an ATM card and was recorded on film Sept. 20 using it at an automated teller machine at 1173 Augusta Road in Warrenville.
The card was reportedly stolen from a home in Aiken, the Aiken County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

Local election results certified
The final votes have been tallied in Richmond County.
The local Board of Elections certified local results Monday from the Nov. 7 election and sent them to state election officials.
The Georgia Secretary of State is expected to certify statewide results Wednesday. A recount cannot be requested until then.
Columbia County Board of Elections Director Debbie Marshall said results of the general election in that county were also certified Monday and forwarded to Atlanta.
In South Carolina, counties tallied provisional ballots and certified vote totals Friday. The state Elections Commission will review those numbers Wednesday and certify the statewide total.
If a statewide recount is necessary - and it appears that's likely because of the closely contested races for lieutenant governor and education superintendent - it would be conducted Thursday, said Stuart Bedenbaugh, the executive director of Aiken County's Registration and Elections office.
Police bust three men on cocaine charges
Three Aiken County men were arrested Friday on cocaine charges after a monthlong investigation.
Robert E. Barton, 26, of the 400 block of Briar Patch Lane in Warrenville, is charged with possession of cocaine.
Jimmy V. Boyd, 44, of the 1800 block of Columbia Highway in Aiken, is charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
Keith C. Grubbs, 23, of 1000 block of Magnolia Street in New Ellenton, is charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine, distribution of cocaine and distribution of cocaine within a half-mile of a school.
Mr. Grubbs is being held at the Aiken County detention center. Mr. Barton and Mr. Boyd are free on bond.
The men were arrested when investigators with the sheriff's office and Aiken Public Safety served a search warrant at the Days Inn on Richland Avenue in Aiken.
Cocaine and more than $2,000 was seized.
Second area purse snatcher sought
Police arrested a man suspected of purse snatchings in Warrenville, Graniteville and Clearwater and are searching for a second.
Billy R. Morris, 27, of the 200 block of Church Street in Gloverville, was arrested Nov. 8 and has been charged with three counts of strong-armed robbery, the Aiken County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Monday.
The agency is still looking for Shannon L. O'Bryant, 32, of the 200 block of Alley Street in Gloverville.
Mr. O'Bryant is white, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
He and Mr. Morris are wanted in connection with the theft of purses from three women between Nov. 2 and Nov. 6.

Augusta woman nabs cab, drags driver
An Augusta woman is in custody on charges that she stole a man's taxi cab and dragged him about 30 feet outside the car Monday, according to North Augusta and Richmond County officials.
Gloria Ann Locklear, 24, of 2822 Ridgeview Drive, faces a slew of charges in North Augusta and Augusta, including two felony counts of aggravated assault, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, fleeing and attempting to elude, and grand larceny of a motor vehicle, according to incident reports.
Edward David Barber Jr., 33, of North Augusta, was at the Circle K at 226 Georgia Ave. at about 1:30 a.m. when Ms. Locklear jumped into his taxi cab and tried to drive away, police said. Mr. Barber told police that he reached into the car to stop her and was dragged alongside the car - breaking his arm and causing severe road rash to his legs, the report said.
Ms. Locklear crossed into Augusta and led Richmond County deputies on a chase that reached speeds of 100 mph, according to Lt. Jimmy Young.
She was caught at the intersection of Railroad and David streets while trying to climb a fence, he said.
Mr. Barber was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital and is in fair condition, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Deputy injured in motorcycle accident
A Richmond County sheriff's deputy was injured Sunday when he was thrown from his motorcycle while escorting a biker group's veterans day ride, according to Maj.Richard Weaver.
Deputy Michael Lewis was making his way back toward the group of riders after closing the intersection of Mike Padgett Highway and Phinizy Road when Robert Shaffer, 66, of 2704 Deen Ave., improperly changed lanes, according to an accident report.
Deputy Lewis was ejected from the bike, while Mr. Shaffer's bike crashed into the rear of Deputy Barry Morrison's motorcycle, the report said.
Mr. Shaffer was taken to Eisenhower Medical Center, and Deputy Lewis was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
Deputy Lewis has since been discharged, while there was no information available for Mr. Shaffer, according to both hospitals' spokesmen.
