Alex Mills (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Alex Mills, age 39, entered into rest on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at University Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of the Augusta and North Augusta area, Alex had worked as an Electrician and was self employed in Restaurant Equipment Repair; most recently with his company Prestige Industries. Alex had recently started an innovative company, Snap Freeze, that produced an instant freezing liquid media. An accomplished Musician, he wrote music, lyrics and enjoyed performing on acoustic and electric guitars. He had a special concern for those less fortunate and was the Founder of 9th Street Mission, which assisted the homeless. He is survived by: his mother, Elvia Mills, NASC; his father, Ronnie Mills, Graniteville, SC; one son, Joseph S. Mills, NASC two daughters, Amanda Garrett, TN, Abigail Burton, Adairsville, GA; one brother, Charles F. Mills, Augusta, GA; one sister, Lesley Mills, Clearwater, SC and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, on Monday, November 13m 2006 from the Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA with Reverends Wesley McClain, Jason Mitchem and Rodney Baker, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, NASC. Following the service, the family will be receiving friends at the First United Pentecostal Church, 1929 Fenwick Street, Augusta.
