Quilt show

A juried quilt show is being held through Monday, Nov. 27, at the Aiken County Historical Museum, 433 Newberry St. S.W., Aiken. The museum is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free but donations are welcome. Call (803) 642-2015.

Organ and brass

Kathleen Cartledge and Barbara Rollins will perform an organ and brass concert at 4 p.m. today at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 961 Trail Ridge Road, Aiken. The concert is free but an offering will be taken.

AARP meeting

An Aiken AARP meeting will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at South Aiken Presbyterian Church, 1711 Whiskey Road. The guest speaker will be Darren Waters, of the Diabetes and Nutrition Teaching Center. AARP annual fees are $5 per household. Call (803) 648-9574.

Jazz concert

The Air Force's Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church, 639 Georgia Ave., North Augusta. The free concert is sponsored by the North Augusta Cultural Arts Council. Call (803) 278-1805.

Hydrangea meeting

Drivers needed

The Aiken Area Council on Aging needs volunteers to help deliver meals in the Aiken, Graniteville, Gloverville, North Augusta and Wagener areas. Meals can be picked up between 10:15 and 11:45 a.m. Call (803) 648-5447.

Parade applications

The North Augusta Lions Club is accepting applications for its Christmas parade, which will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3. Trophies will be awarded for the top three entries in the commercial and noncommercial categories. The entry deadline is Wednesday, Nov. 29. Applications are available at the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce, 302 Georgia Ave.

Lights volunteers

The Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department is seeking volunteers to help with the annual Christmas in Hopelands light exhibit. The event will be from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 9-12, 14-19, 21-23, 26 and 27. Volunteers are needed to help at the front gates, the refreshment area and the Thoroughbred Racing Museum and Hall of Fame. USC Aiken plays

The University of South Carolina Aiken's University Theatre Productions will present Feast of Carols at 7 p.m. Dec. 4-5; 10-Minute Play Festival at 8 p.m. Jan. 25-27 and 29 and 3 p.m. Jan. 28; and The Robber Bridegroom at 8 p.m. April 26-28 and 30 and 3 p.m. April 29 at the Etherredge Center, 471 University Parkway, Aiken.
