BELVEDERE, S.C. - Mrs. Emily Neal Buckner, 68, of Audobon Circle, entered into rest Friday, November 3, 2006 at the University Hospital, Augusta. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday at the Gibson United Methodist Church with Rev. Griffin Thompson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Buckner was a native of Glascock Co., Ga. and was retired from The Richmond County Health Department. She was a member of Gibson U.M.C. She is survived by her loving son, Mr. Richard A. Kitchens of Martinez; four sisters, Hilda McCoy and her husband, Calvin, Sybil Braswell and her husband, J.W., Frankie Porter and her husband, Earl and Dianne Rabun and her husband, Glen, all of Gibson; one brother, Mr. Kyle (Mickey) Neal and his wife, Vesta, of Gibson; one granddaughter, April Maxwell and one great-granddaughter, Rachael Maxwell of Grovetown and a very special friend, Mr. Doug Williams of Trenton, S.C. Pallbearers are Mike Braswell, JackCrunkleton, Coty Faglier, Ross Rabun, Bruce Logue and Ricky Todd. Emily will lie in state at the church one hour before the service. The family will receive friends today from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Sheppard Funeral Home, Gibson, GA is in charge of arrangements.
