AIKEN, S.C. - Entered into rest Friday, November 3, 2006, Ms. Doris Swafford Rushton of Aiken, daughter of the late John Swafford and the late Maggie Carter Swafford. She is survived by three sons, Dennis Rushton and his wife, Carol, of Jackson, S.C., Dwayne Rushton of Aiken and Damon Rushton and his wife, Angie of Graniteville, S.C.; a sister, Judy Parrott and her husband, Gordon of Aiken and six grandchildren, Jason Rushton, Amber Rushton, Kristen Rushton, Damon "D.C." Rushton, Alicia Toole and Christie Lewis. She was born in Toccoa, Ga., but has been a resident of Aiken County for the past 50 years. She was retired from Graniteville Company. She was of the Holiness Faith. She was a good mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She had a bubbly personality and never met a stranger. The funeral service will be conducted Monday, November 6, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Hyder and Rev. W.H. Bryant officiating. The interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens in Langley, S.C. The pallbearers will be Bud Parker, Darren Rushton, Ryan Orr, Tim Smith, Gary Jones and Dan Vine. The family will receive friends at the son, Dwayne's residence on Croft Mill Rd. in Aiken, S.C. or tonight, Sunday, November 5, 2006 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Napier Funeral Home.
