Ernest Roland Gagne (WAYNESBORO, Ga.)



WAYNESBORO, Ga. - "Ernie" Roland Gagne, 70, entered into rest on Friday, November 3, 2006, at University Hospital in Augusta, GA. Born on October 20, 1936 to the late Francois and Clarena Gagne in Salem, Massachusetts where he attended high school at St. Joseph's Academy, he had lived in this area for the past 23 years. He was a retired manager of Wheelers, employed part-time at McKinney's Wholesale, a veteran of the U. S. Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. He was of the Catholic faith and was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Gagne. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Judy Gagne of Waynesboro; his son, Pete Gagne (Stephanie) of Brooklet, GA; his two daughters, Christine McCutcheon (Tracy) of Virginia and Kelly Gagne of Waynesboro; his brother, Raymond Gagne of Salem, MA; and his sister, Theresa Filtrante of Salem, MA; six grandchildren; four nieces and three nephews. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Waynesboro with Dr. G. Al Wright and Fr. Charles Hughes officiating.
