IT'S STILL HALLOWEEN FOR 'THE SIMPSONS'
The Simpsons are keeping up tradition with Treehouse of Horror XVII, airing 8 p.m. on WFXG (Channel 54). The trilogy includes Married to the Blob, in which homer eats green alien goo that turns him into a voracious blob with an appetite even Dr. Phil (guest voice actor Phil McGraw), can't ease. In You Gotta Know When To Golem, Bart brings a legendary monster from Jewish folklore to life (voiced by Richard Lewis). The Day The Earth Looked Stupid is more than trick-or-treat: it's a thinly veiled criticism of the Iraq war. When space aliens invade and destroy Springfield, they end up questioning whether Operation Enduring Occupation was such a good idea and why earthlings failed to greet them as liberators.
For more than a year, an aunt and a family friend tried without success to set up Annie Domenico with Chris Kaigler.
That changed when Ms. Domenico came back to the Augusta area and went to Mr. Kaigler's school in search of a former teacher. He caught her attention, but it wasn't until she read his name on the door that she saw just how serendipitous love can be.
"After I saw his name, I was like, 'Oh, my God, you're that coach I was supposed to meet,'" she said.
After the two had their first date and figured out that their personalities were perfect complements, they knew they had found their match.
"A week and a half after our first date, he told me he knew he was going to marry me," Ms. Domenico said.
They exchanged vows Saturday at Church of The Most Holy Trinity in Augusta.
