The Spotlight

STATS: 16, junior at A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet High School

WHO: Fashionista, photographer, artist

HER STORY: Although humorous, Jasmine can be brutally honest.

"I'm a nice girl," said the junior class president who aspires to be a forensic pathologist. "I just try to put myself in other people's shoes and think about if I wanted to know something honestly and another person formulated a lie just to make me happy."

When she's not painting, modeling or doing community service with the Augusta Mall Fashion Board, she's updating her MySpace page with original HTMLs or rollerblading. Jasmine also works hard to maintain her 4.0 GPA. She earned the highest-average award for French I and II, language arts and health occupations (a class for which she attends clinicals at local hospitals and clinics).

"I'm a lot of things as any other person, but I'm also something unexpected," she said.
