Janet Cummins ( EVANS, Ga.)

EVANS, Ga. - Mrs. Janet Miller Cummins, 64, went home to be with our Lord, Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at National Health Care. Mrs. Cummins was a native of Owensboro, KY and had resided in the Augusta area for six years. Mrs. Cummins was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church where she was an usher and greeter and volunteered for the Augusta Soup Kitchen. Family members include her daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia and Vernon Keszler of Evans, Lisa Barr of Loveland, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Shannon Cowguill of Martinez; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Jana Miller of Shepardsville, KY; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. John Kenney officiating. Entombment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3185 Wheeler Rd., Augusta, GA 30909 or the Jud C. Hickey Center for Alzheimer Care, 1901 Central Ave., Augusta, GA 30904. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and at the church on Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
