NEW HAVEN, CT - Overseer Beatrice D. Marion, 66, of New Haven, CT departed this life on October 17, 2006. She was the beloved wife of Philip M. Marion, Sr. Born in Augusta, GA on February 4, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Addison and Ida Bell Knox Bennings. She had been employed as a supervisor by Connecticut Laminating and served as Founder and Overseer of Temple of Miracles and Deliverance Center. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Phyllis Marion Zakari, Veronica Marion and Leatrice Amegnihe (Phillip); a son, Christopher Marion; 10 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by a son, Philip Marion, Jr.; a daughter, Althea Marion; and a sister, Evangelist Miriam Bennings. A funeral service celebrating Mrs. Marion's life and legacy will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at 11 AM at Varick AME Zion Church, 246 Dixwell Ave., New Haven, CT.
