T. Everett Johnson (AIKEN, S.C.)



AIKEN, S.C. - Entered into rest Thursday, October 19, 2006, Mr. T. Everett Johnson of Aiken, beloved husband of Becky Johnson and son of Doris Williams Johnson and the late Thomas F. Johnson. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a brother, Kenneth Johnson and his wife, Janet of Graniteville; a sister, Jackie J. Stong of California; two sons, Thomas Everett (Rhett) Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Elaine and Cale Brinkley Johnson and his wife, Laura and a grandson, Thomas Everett (Trey) Johnson, III. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He was the owner of Everett Johnson Roofing and Construction Company. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville. He was a graduate of the University of S.C., Aiken Campus. He was a member, past president and 1990 Member of the Year of the Aiken County Home Builders Association. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #99 AFM, #37 Scottish Rites mason and a Jamil Chartered Member. He was a member of the US Army Reserve 450th Unit in Aiken, S.C. He was the Honorary Chairman for "Relay for Life" in 2004 in Aiken County. The family will receive friends this evening, Friday, October 20th from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be tomorrow, Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville, S.C. with Rev. Barry T. Antley and Rev. Stephen Roehrs officiating. The interment will follow in the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Tom Young, Jeff Howell, Bill Hardy, Richard Johnson, Rodney Williams, Leland Reynolds, Bobby Coker and Buzz Rich. The honorary pallbearers will be Carl Lockhart, Joe Lockhart, Ricky Lockhart, Ronnie Lockhart, Bill Mobley, Walker Crosby, Dr. Edmund Waller, the Supper Club and friend and loyal employee, Karen Poston. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
